The Raag Collection by British design duo at Doshi Levien continues to reinterpret the classical Indian Raag system—a sequence of musical notes into a vibrant chromatic symphony of colors and proportions woven onto flat fabrics. Using a self-imposed grid, they play with hand painted samples, creating ascending and descending scales of color. The result is a rhythm that is both experimental and mathematical—“not just random patterns,” as Nipa Doshi explains. “In our creative process, beauty gives us space to play... there’s beauty in craftsmanship, beauty in culture, beauty in color.”
