Hypercode / cc-tapis

Collection

cc-tapis presents its first collaboration with Italian designer Roberto Sironi, a collection of 4 handwoven rugs in a site-specific installation at their Milanese Headquarters in Via Gaudenzio Fantoli 15/5. Mythological symbols, ancient carvings, enigmatic glyphs, and urban graffiti merge on the surface of the rug, giving life to Hypercode—a textile composition that celebrates humanity’s innate need to leave a mark over time, to communicate across space and eras.Starting from the idea of the sign as a universal language, Roberto Sironi reinterprets apparent chaos into a new aesthetic form, where symbols, writings, and ancient and contemporary codes coexist and interact. While aesthetically Hypercode references the contemporary world, its essence remains deeply rooted in tradition. The rug becomes a narrative artifact where warp and weft intertwine to tell the stories of peoples, cultures, and individuals.
