Blip is a neutral, modern and universal ode to a creative’s methodology. It reflects what a grid or a rhythm provide as a basis of a design or artistic product. A grid is only relevant to a design when it has instances of interruption. Amidst a repetition or a rhythm always lies an outcast whether it is a volumetric, chromatic or proportional disturbance which interweaves the composition into a rich harmony.
This concept is translated into rectangular compositions of lines and dots repeated to create a monotonous rhythm, that is disrupted by a volumetric shift. This shift distorts the balance and creates a more dynamic composition.
