Roula Salamoun is a Lebanese architect and founder of a multidisciplinary eponymous studio where she marries her architectural sensibilities with an intuitive, hands-on approach to design. Her practice rigorously experiments with materiality and form to mold objects and spaces that elicit dialogues through the senses. Earning her Bachelor of Architecture with distinction with a minor in Studio Arts from the American University of Beirut, Roula continued to pursue her graduate research at Columbia University in New York, where she was awarded the William Kinne fellowship. Roula’s work has been published in prominent publications, of which Domus magazine listed her amongst the designers to look out for. Her work has been presented at international events, notably in New York, Venice, Paris, Dubai, and at the PAD London & Paris fairs. Since establishing her studio in 2017, Roula has been nominated for numerous awards such as “Emerging Designer of the year 2022” by AD Middle East as her studio continues to explore output across the fields of art, installations, design, interiors & architecture.
